Job Description

Our client, a leading food manufacturing company, is looking for a Regulatory Affairs Manager to manage, and drive the company’s regulatory department. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is looking to take their career in Regulatory Affairs to the next level, and be part of a company that truly invests in its employees.

Please note this is an in office position- there is no work from home available.

What we are looking for:

• Experience monitoring regulatory agencies and publications.
• Build and maintain of the packaging/labelling databases.
• Create and review artwork (new and existing products, all brands) for regulatory and language compliance in the primary target countries/jurisdictions.
• Ensuring all government, internal, certifying-agency requirements are met for any claims made for the products.
• Create overall regulatory strategy and implement plans for CFIA.
• Work with Quality team and the company’s SOP, GMP, HACCP, regulatory and quality assurance policies and procedures to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Continual assessment of existing compliance management systems.
• Create and update New Product Assessments for Canadian Regulatory compliance in a timely manner.
• Provide support to write SDS and labels that correctly reflect requirements under WHMIS and other requirements.

Experience and qualifications we are looking for:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Food or Nutrition Science, or a related subject required
• Strong knowledge of methodologies of regulatory affairs in the food manufacturing sector
• Working knowledge of regulatory processes in the USA and Canada
